In Math we’ll continue to learn about shapes (circles, triangles, rectangles, and squares.) Our essential question will be “How can shapes be named and described?”
If you haven’t already, please start reviewing List 1 of Sight Words as homework every night.
The Kindergarten Fall Festival will be held on Thursday, October 6th. We are asking that each child please donate $3.00 for the Fall Festival. The money is needed to buy supplies to make the day extra special for our Kindergarten students.
There will be a PTO meeting on Monday, September 12th at 6:30 in the Elementary cafeteria.
There will be a meeting for anyone that would like to help at the Fall Festival on Tuesday, September 13th at 6:30 at the Mineshaft in Ashland. Just a reminder, the Fall Festival is not a PTO event so anyone who has clearances may help!
School pictures will be taken on Tuesday, September 13th. Please return your envelope on Monday if you haven’t already. We will be one of the first classes to go for pictures so there is no time to track down missing envelopes.
Wednesday, September 14th is our first “data delay.” Please note that buses will follow a 2 hour delay schedule, however students may be dropped off during normal school hours (after 8:15 AM.) When we have a delay (whether it’s a scheduled data delay or a delay for inclement weather) it will be a non-rotation day. On non-rotation days, we do not have special.
Friday, September 16th, is a Spartan Dress Down Day! For a $1 donation, students are invited dress down in a Spartan T-Shirt and any pants/ shorts/ or jeans that they would like.
Keep practicing the 4 digit ID numbers with your child. Thank you to the parents who have already taught the number to their children :)
Please check your child’s folder daily and remove all “KEEP” items. It becomes difficult to handle the folders with too many papers inside (for the students and teachers.)
