In Math, we will continue with Topic 5, Numbers 0-20. Our big question will be, “How can numbers to 20 be counted, written, and read?”
Next week in Reading we’ll continue with Unit 3: Changes all around us and we’ll read “Farfallina and Marcel.” In this story a caterpillar named Farfallina and a goose named Marcel are best friends. They do everything together -- until one day when everything starts to change! We will be discussing how friendships change. Students will learn about plot. Our big question will be “What happens when animals change?”
According to the positive behavior plan, in May, students must have ALL green lights in order to participate in the monthly reward. This month the reward will be extra recess and a popsicle! Please continue to remind your child of this at home and encourage good behavior!
Important Dates:
- Tuesday, May 19th: Students who are participating in Kdg Graduation will walk to the high school to practice so please make sure your child wears good walking shoes to school. Graduation will be held at 6 PM in the high school auditorium. Please note that tickets are required this year! Students who are participating in Graduation have more information in their folder today. Please note, due to construction there is no air conditioning in the high school. Try to keep this in mind when dressing your child since they will be wearing a cap and gown over their clothes.
