April 20-24

Next week, we’ll continue to learn the last few letters of the alphabet!  Our new letters will be Jj and Xx.  Instead of our normal show and tell for the letter Jj, students will be asked to share a joke with their classmates on Friday, April 24^th.  Please continue to practice all of the letters that we’ve learned (L, O, G, H, T, P, A, N, M, I, S, F, R, K, B, U. Z, C, E, Y, D, V)

In Math, we will continue to work on Topic 15.  We’ll discuss the position and location of shapes.  Our big question is, what words can be used to describe the position and location of an object?

Next week in Reading we’ll continue with Unit 2, Look at Us!  We will read Jack and the Bean Stalk.  Our question of the week will be “How are real and make believe plants alike and different?"

On Tuesday, May 26^th, Kindergarten will go on their Field Trip to the ZooAmerica in Hershey.  Permission forms were sent home on Friday.  Please complete and return them as soon as possible if you haven’t done so already.

Order forms for the Kindergarten Graduation DVD were sent home.  This is a great Kindergarten keepsake!  Order forms are due back by Friday, May 1st!  NO ORDERS WILL BE TAKEN AFTER THIS DATE!  Even though the forms are not due until May 1^st, please try to return them as soon as possible so I know who can be in the slideshow and who can’t.  Even if you are not interested in ordering a copy, the form still needs to be returned so we have your permission to include your child in the slideshow.  

Due to PSSA testing there will be no specials on these days: April 21, 22, 23, 28 and 29. 

In April, the positive behavior plan allows students to get TWO yellow and/or red lights.  Please continue to remind your child of this at home and encourage good behavior.
