In Math, we’ll continue to compare sets of numbers. We’ll also practice weighing objects and comparing their weight.
In Reading we’ll finally finish reading We Are So Proud and move on to our next story, Plaidypus Lost! We’ll discuss how families cooperate. Our literary element for the story will be sequence.
Report cards were sent home this week. Please sign and return the envelope only if you have not done so already! The contents of the envelope are yours to keep!
Please continue to remind your child that in February any student who has 3 or more red and/ or yellow stoplights will not participate in the monthly reward.
Hip, Hip, Hooray! Today was our 100th Day! Can you believe that we’ve already been in school for 100 days? Time flies when you’re having fun! Thank you to all of the parents and family members who helped to complete the 100th day super hero capes and also the collections of 100 items! We had a great day!

Jump Rope for Hearts will be held on Wednesday, February 11th. Students should wear gym clothes and sneakers!
Valentine’s Day parties will be held on Thursday, February 12th. You can start sending Valentines to school on Monday, February 9th.
If you haven’t already returned your child’s yearbook picture form, please do so as soon as possible. PTO will be taking group pictures for the yearbook on Thursday, February 12th. If you did not return the form, your child will not be in any of the sports/ organization pictures in the yearbook.
There is no school for students on Friday, February 13th and Monday, February 16th.
February is Dental Health Month! Please help your child complete their toothbrushing chart during the month of the February. Students who return the chart will get a special treat!
It’s time to start preparing for NSE’s 2nd annual Chinese Auction! The auction will be held at NSE this year!! On Saturday April 11th you may “Shop and Drop” from 10:30 to 5:00 and on Sunday April 12th you can do the same from 12:00-3:00. The auction will start promptly at 3:00. Every student will receive a free sheet of tickets if they attend the auction. Donations of prizes are greatly appreciated!!
