In Math, we’ll start learning about weighing objects. We’ll also practice ordering items according to their weight.
In Reading we’ll read We Are So Proud! We’ll continue to discuss the importance of working together with classmates. Our literary element for the story will be setting.
Report cards are being sent home today. Please sign and return the envelope only! The contents of the envelope are yours to keep! Report Card envelopes are due back as soon as possible!
On Friday, students who earned the January positive behavior plan reward will get to play BINGO in the cafeteria! Please continue to remind your child that in February any student who has 3 or more red and/ or yellow stoplights will not participate in the monthly reward.
January Reading Logs are due this week. Don’t forget, if your child reads 16 books in a month, they are entered to win a bike at the end of the year! Your child has the opportunity to earn 6 chances at the bike!
The 100th day of school is quickly approaching!! Special 100th day of school homework assignments were sent last week! As of right now, the 100th day of school is Friday, February 6th.
February 6th students will get to attend the Brainshow Mania assembly!
Friday, February 6th will also be “Jeans for a Cause” day. Please remember, only students who pay $1 may wear jeans!
Jump Rope for Hearts will be held on Wednesday, February 11th. Students should wear gym clothes and sneakers!
Valentine’s Day parties will be held on Thursday, February 12th. Please do not send Valentines to school before Feb. 9th.
If you haven’t already returned your child’s yearbook picture form, please do so as soon as possible. PTO will be taking group pictures for the yearbook on Thursday, February 12th.
There is no school for students on Friday, February 13th and Monday, February 16th.
February is Dental Health Month! Toothbrush charts were sent home this week. Please help your child complete the chart next month. Students who return the chart will get a special treat!
It’s time to start preparing for NSE’s 2nd annual Chinese Auction! The auction will be held at NSE this year!! On Saturday April 11th you may “Shop and Drop” from 10:30 to 5:00 and on Sunday April 12th you can do the same from 12:00-3:00. The auction will start promptly at 3:00. Every student will receive a free sheet of tickets if they attend the auction. Donations of prizes are greatly appreciated!!
