In Math, we’ll continue to practice ordinal positions, numbers 1-10, and patterns. Our new concept for the week will be money! Students will be introduced to the penny!
We were so busy this week doing Phonics, Math, Science, and our Halloween them that we didn’t get to finish our Reading story! Next week, in Reading, we will continue our story, Antonio’s Birthday Fiesta. We’ll practice answering questions about a story and determining the meaning of unknown words. We will also identify similarities and differences.
A huge thank you to all the parents who have been working with their child on their homework!!!! Everyone is doing a great job completing their DIBELS practice and their Book Bags, in addition to the nightly worksheet! Thank you!!!!!
This week was Red Ribbon Week. Students did a great job participating in the daily themes! Next week, we’ll have a special Red Ribbon presentation by Diane Rowland.
On Friday, November 7th, Kindergarten will have a Pajama Party to introduce the next letter that we’ll be learning, Pp!! Students are invited to wear their pajamas to school! Please remember that this is ONLY for Kindergarten!!
Please be sure to send in $5 for your child’s Halloween and Valentine’s Day parties if you haven’t done so already.
A big thank you to our families and friends who came to the Halloween Parade! Our class was so excited to see so many people who we knew! Our Halloween celebration was spooktacular!
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday, November 10th. Conference confirmation forms are due on November 3rd. Please return these ASAP so I know that you’re coming!
Since the clocks are changing this weekend, students are NO LONGER ALLOWED T WEAR SHORTS TO SCHOOL!!!
We go outside for recess almost every day so please dress your child for the weather; coats, hats, gloves, and scarves! Any students who come to school without a coat will not be allowed outside for recess. Please help your child practice putting their coats on themselves and zipping/ buttoning them. Thank you!
Please note…. This year the K-3 Christmas Concert will be held at NIGHT, not during the school day. The concert will take place on December 4th at 7 PM in the North Schuylkill High School Auditorium.
Don’t forget your sneakers on Tuesday and Library books on Wednesday!
