November 19-22

This week in Phonics, we’ll start learning a new letter. Our new letter will be Tt as in tent, triangle, and turkey! Please continue to practice the letter flashcards at home with your child.

This week in Math we began telling time to the hour. We will continue to practice ordinal positions and numbers 0-10.

In Reading, we’ll continue to read “Animal Babies in Grasslands.” In this story we’ll learn about mammals that live lush and green habitat known as the grasslands. We will discuss Fiction and Non Fiction.

Our theme for the next two weeks will be Thanksgiving. We’ll be doing lots of fun activities to learn about the upcoming holiday.

Thank you to all of the parents who attended parent teacher conferences! I appreciate you taking the time to come in and discuss your child’s progress with me!

The North Schuylkill Jr. Sr. Student Council is sponsoring the Feed A Friend project to help less fortunate families in Schuylkill County have an enjoyable Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. In an effort to help those that are in need, I’m asking that each student bring in one non-perishable item to donate to the Feed A Friend project.

We go outside for recess almost every day so please dress your child for the weather; coats, hats, gloves, and scarves! Any students who come to school without a coat will not be allowed outside for recess. Also, please help your child practice putting their coats on themselves and zipping/ buttoning them. Thank you!

Don’t forget to return your child’s Library book on Friday so they can get a new book!
