November 11-15

This week in Phonics, we’ll continue learning about the letter Hh as in hat, happy, and heart. On Friday, students in our class only, are invited to wear a hat to school for “Hat Day” to celebrate the letter Hh!

In Math, we’ll continue to practice writing and identifying numbers, along with counting to 10. We’ll also review shapes and practice acting out story problems.

In Reading, we’ll read “Animal Babies in Grasslands.” In this story we’ll learn about mammals that live lush and green habitat known as the grasslands. We will discuss Fiction and Non Fiction.

We’ll be finishing up our leaves them this week!

There is NO SCHOOL for students on Monday, November 18th. Parent teacher conferences will be held on that day. Please let me know as soon as possible if you cannot make your assigned time.

The North Schuylkill Jr. Sr. Student Council is sponsoring the Feed A Friend project to help less fortunate families in Schuylkill County have an enjoyable Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. In an effort to help those that are in need, I’m asking that each student bring in one non-perishable item to donate to the Feed A Friend project.

We go outside for recess almost every day so please dress your child for the weather; coats, hats, gloves, and scarves! Any students who come to school without a coat will not be allowed outside for recess. Also, please help your child practice putting their coats on themselves and zipping/ buttoning them. Thank you!

Party Money ($5) should be sent in as soon as possible! This is separate from the Fall Festival money that was already collected. I’ve only received party money from a handful of students!!

Don’t forget to return your child’s Library book on Thursday so they can get a new book!
