In Phonics we will not be starting a new letter until after Christmas break. Word List 6 will be tested before vacation. Word List 7 will come home when we return to school in January.

In Math we’ll review shapes, patterns, and numbers up to 10. We’ll also learn how to “decompose” numbers.
There will be no homework until after Christmas vacation.
Today we traveled to the high school to watch the High School’s Band and Chorus perform their Christmas Concert. The Kindergarteners were on their best behavior and really enjoyed the show!
Students were treated to an ice cream treat on Wednesday for doing such a great job bringing in donations for the Hurricane Sandy projects!
Family and Friends are invited to attend the Christmas Concert which will be held Monday, December 17th at 9:30 in the North Schuylkill High School Auditorium. Kindergarteners have been practicing their songs and are very excited to share them with you! Students are expected to wear dress code approved clothes OR NICER! Girls may wear Christmas dresses, skirts, etc. Boys can wear shirts, ties, Christmas sweaters, etc. NO GYM CLOTHES! Please note that our class will be standing on the LEFT side of the stage.
On December 21st, we will be celebrating the story the “The Polar Express.” Students are invited to dress like the characters of the story by wearing their pajamas to school. We will have hot chocolate, cookies, read the book “The Polar Express” by Chris Van Allsburg and watch the movie.
December 21st is an early dismissal for students (1:00.)
