In Math, we’ll concentrate on ordering and comparing lengths. We’ll also being using Geoboards to copy line segments, shapes, and designs.
Next week in Reading we’ll be reading Miss Bindergarten Takes a Field Trip with Kindergarten. We’ll discuss how people in communities cooperate. Our literary element for the story will be classify and categorize.
This week we finished our celebration of Dr. Seuss. We hope everyone enjoys our class book that is coming home today, “Do You Like Green Eggs and Ham?”
Thank you to all the parents that read the newspaper with their children this week! Congratulations to all of the students who found my ad in the newspaper! “I’m A Reader” contracts need to be returned by Wednesday, March 11th.
In March and April, the positive behavior plan changes to TWO yellow and/or red lights. Please continue to remind your child of this at home and encourage good behavior.
Kindergarten Graduation pictures will be taken on April 8th. Every student needs to wear a white collared shirt for pictures! Every child will be getting their picture taken as part of a class photo. Graduation pictures are completely optional since your child will be in Kindergarten next year. More information will be sent home in the near future.
It’s time to start preparing for NSE’s 2nd annual Chinese Auction! The auction will be held at NSE this year!! Our class’ theme is a Sundae Basket!!! Each student is asked to make a donation to the basket but it is not mandatory. We can put anything in the basket that makes you think of an Ice Cream Sundae! Sprinkles, nuts, chocolate, cherries, bowls, spoons, ice cream scoops, cones, butterscotch, caramel, etc. Feel free to get creative! Donations are due before March 27th.
