Everybody has been working so hard on their letters and sounds!!! We are flying through the letters!! Next week we are going to learn 2 new letters!! Our new letters will be B and U. Show and Tell can be tricky for U so we will only have Show and Tell for the letter B! Students should also try to find a piece of environmental print for the letter B and also for the letter U, but please don’t stress if you can’t find anything for U!! Please continue to practice all of the letters that we’ve learned (L, O, G, H, T, P, A, N, M, I, S, F, R, K.)

In Math, students are doing a great job transitioning to Envision math. We will continue to learn about shapes.

Next week in Reading we’ll start Unit 2, Look at Us! Our big question will be How are Animals and plants unique? Our first story in Unit 2 will be Flowers. We will discuss how flowers are unique.

In March and April, the positive behavior plan changes to TWO yellow and/or red lights. Please continue to remind your child of this at home and encourage good behavior.

Kindergarten Graduation pictures will be taken on April 8th. Every student needs to wear a white collared shirt for pictures! Every child will be getting their picture taken as part of a class photo. Graduation pictures are completely optional since your child will be in Kindergarten next year. For anyone who is buying pictures, when picking out a background, please note that, boys will wear a blue gown with a red cap, and girls wear a red gown with a blue hat. More information is in your child’s folder today.

It’s time to start preparing for NSE’s 2nd annual Chinese Auction! The auction will be held at NSE this year!! Our class’ theme is a Sundae Basket!!! Each student is asked to make a donation to the basket but it is not mandatory. We can put anything in the basket that makes you think of an Ice Cream Sundae! Sprinkles, nuts, chocolate, cherries, bowls, spoons, ice cream scoops, cones, butterscotch, caramel, etc. Feel free to get creative! Donations are due before March 27th. Thank you to the 3 parents who already sent in donations!!!

The Easter Bunny will be at all Boyer’s locations on March 21st from 11-2. The theme will be an Easter Luau! There will be healthy snacks, a fun craft and of course the Easter Bunny!

*** When there is a snow day, we do not skip a day. For example, if there is a snow day on Tuesday and we were supposed to have Computers, we’ll have Computers on Wednesday, or whenever we return to school.
