March 24-28

We are going to try to get students outside Next week in Phonics, we will begin a new letter!  Our new letter will be Ff as in fish, fan, and food!  Please continue to review the letter flashcards in your child’s folder.  Show and Tell bags will come home next week.  Show and Tell will be on Friday. 
 
In Math, we’ll continue to practice using nickels to pay for items and counting by 5’s.  We’ll learn how to divide by sharing and how to order numbers.  We’ll also practice comparing numbers. 

In Reading, we’ll start a new story, “If You Could Go to Antarctica.”  This is a nonfiction book that will teach students all about life in Antarctica.  We will be discussing adventures.  Students will learn about classifying and categorizing. 

We have been trying to get students outside for recess whenever we can!  Please be sure that your child dressing appropriately for the weather!

Thank you to all of the parents who have made donations to our class’ Summer Fun basket for the PTO Basket Auction.  Donations are still being accepted until April 4th

Kindergarten Graduation pictures will be taken on April 3rd.  Even if you aren’t buying a package, your child still needs to wear a white collared shirt on picture day so we can get a class picture for the children who are buying pictures.  Package information was sent home with the students who are buying pictures.  Please return your order and money by Friday, March 28th

Reports cards for the 3rd Marking Period will be sent home on Friday, April 4th
