In Phonics we will be learning about the consonant “Ww” as in water, walrus, and wagon. There will be no Show and Tell for the letter Ww. Instead, we’ll have “Wacky Hair Day” on Friday! Students are invited to do something wacky to their hair on Friday. On Wednesday we’ll celebrate “Watery Wednesday” and do lots of fun activities to learn about water! Due to report card testing, we did not get Word List 14 tested this week. It will be tested Friday, March 22nd.
Next week in Reading, we’ll read Max Takes the Train. In this story, based on the popular TV show Max and Ruby, Max and his grandfather use different forms of transportation in search of the ice cream shop. We will be discussing ways to travel. Students will learn about realism and fantasy. Please be sure to review your Family Times when it comes home next week.
In Math students will be working with tangrams again. They’ll also identify the relationship between larger and smaller number and count forward and backward on a number line.
We are trying to get students outside for recess as much as possible! Please be sure that your child has a warm jacket, gloves, and hat!
Kindergarten Graduation pictures will be taken Thursday, April 4th. All students need to wear a white collared shirt for pictures! Package information was sent home earlier this week. Please try to return orders and money before Easter break.
