Next week in Phonics we’ll be learning about the letter U and in umbrella and underwear! Since “U” words can be hard to find we will skip Show and Tell and do United States reports instead. Please see the note in your child’s folder today for more information. Word List 8 is coming home today and will be tested on Thursday or Friday next week.
In Reading, we’ll read “Farfallina and Marcel.” In this story a caterpillar named Farfallina and a goose named Marcel are best friends. They do everything together -- until one day when everything starts to change! We will be discussing how friendships change. Students will learn about plot. Please be sure to review your Family Times when it comes home next week.
In Math we’ll solve problems by guessing and checking, compare sets of objects, weigh objects and practice number identification.
Friday, January 18th is an early dismissal for students (11:45!) Also, there IS school on Monday, January 21st.
Report Cards will be sent home on Wednesday, January 23rd.
We have been trying to take Kindergarten students outside for recess whenever we can. Please make sure that your child is dressed properly.
