In Phonics we will be learning about the two sounds of the digraph oo as in hook and tooth. A digraph is 2 letters that come together to make one sound. We code digraphs by underlining them.
In Reading, we’ll start Unit 6, Building Our Homes, and read “Homes Around the World.” In this story, we’ll learn about the many different kinds of homes around the world. We’ll learn about comparing and contrasting.
In Math, we’ll complete our last few lessons in the Saxon series! In these lessons we’ll learn about measuring using inches, halves and fourths, and pictographs.
Order forms for the Kindergarten Graduation DVD were sent home. This is a great Kindergarten keepsake! Order forms are due back by Wednesday, May 8th! NO ORDERS WILL BE TAKEN AFTER THIS DATE!
Kindergarten students will take the DIBELS test on Monday, April 29th.
Our Field Trip will be on Thursday, May 23rd. We will be attending the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus in Hershey at the Giant Center! Please see your child's folder today for more information!
Kindergarten graduation will be Tuesday, May 28th at 6:00 in the high school auditorium.
