There is NO SCHOOL for students on Friday, February 17th and Monday, February 20th.
Next week in Reading we will continue Unit 4 Let’s Explore. We will be reading the story If You Could Go To Antarctica. We will discuss adventures in Antarctica. Students will review the vowel Ee and talk about classifying and categorizing. In Phonics we will be learning about the consonant “Dd” as in dog, dinosaur, and diamond. Instead of show and tell, students will complete a Dinosaur Report. Please see additional information in your child’s folder. Word List 12 came home this week but will not be tested until Friday, February 24th. In math we’ll start using nickels and we’ll also learn more about cylinders.
Our Valentine’s Day party was on Tuesday. We had a snack, made a craft, played a game, and exchanged valentines with our classmates. It was a great time! Thank you to the parents who helped to organize the party!
