Next week in Reading we will continue Unit 4, Let’s Explore. We will be reading the story One Little Mouse. We will continue to discuss adventures. Students will also learn about consonant blends and sequence.
In Phonics we will be learning about the consonant “Vv” as in vest, vegetable, and volcano. A big thank you to all the parents that completed the dinosaur projects with their child. They were all DINOmite!!! Word List 14 will be tested Friday, March 4th.
In math, we will continue to work on measuring. Kindergarteners have learned AB and AABB patterns but this week we will also add ABC patterns.
We have finished our Science unit on Wood and Paper. We will begin our last Science unit, “Animals Two by Two” in March.
On Friday, March 4th NSE will celebrate “Read Across America.” In the morning we will have students from Bloomsburg University visit our classroom to teach a lesson using the Dr. Seuss book “Ten Apples Up On Top.” In the afternoon we will have a special guest reader and do lots of Dr. Seuss activities.
The alternate for lunch on Monday, February 28th will be Pork Riblet, not Hot Dog.
