Next week in Reading we will continue Unit 4 Let’s Explore. We will be reading the story My Lucky Day. We will continue to discuss adventures and students will review the consonant “Ll” along with cause and effect.
In Phonics we will be learning about the consonant “Dd” as in dog, dinosaur, and diamond. Instead of show and tell, students will complete a Dinosaur Report. Please see additional information in your child’s folder. Word List 13 will be tested Friday, February 25th.
In math, we will be working on measuring. We will also review shapes and use geoboards.
We have finished our Science unit on Wood and Paper. We will begin our last Science unit, “Animals Two by Two” in March.
Our Valentine’s Day party was on Monday. We had a terrific time! A big thank you to the homeroom parents who came in for the party. We would also like to thank Amber’s parents for giving each child in our class a special plush Valentine’s Day heart!
Don’t forget that we are collecting “Coins for Critters” until the end of the month! The class that collects the most money will win a party!
