Next week in Reading we will continue with Unit 3, and read the story Seeds. We will be discussing how plans grow and change. Students will learn about the short sounds of the vowel “o” and drawing conclusions.
In Phonics we will be learning about the consonant “Cc” as in cat, can, and cupcake. Word List 10 will come home today and will be tested Friday, February 4th.
In math, we will be working on identifying numbers and will focus on the numbers 0-20. We will also discuss measuring with 1 cup and following directions in a recipe.
We will continue with our Science unit on Wood and Paper. This week we will continue to learn about the properties of wood and how to use those properties to change wood.
If you haven’t signed and returned your child’s report card please do so as soon as possible.
The 100th day of school is approaching fast! Kindergarteners will be celebrating the 100th day on WEDNESDAY, February 2nd. Students are invited to dress like they are 100 years old to help celebrate the special day. Please see the information that was sent home earlier this week for more info.
